Strategi Pengembangan Wisata Halal dalam Meningkatkan Ekonomi Kota Makassar dengan Pendekatan Analisis SWOT

Abstract


This study aims to identify Halal Tourism Development Strategies in Makassar City Using the SWOT Approach. Formulating a Halal Tourism Strategy Can Improve the Regional Economy. The approach used is qualitative, namely describing descriptive analysis to describe research results in the form of actual data obtained directly when conducting research. The type is field research, namely research whose subjects are behavior, perception, motivation and action by describing it in the form of language and sentences. The research subject is a source of information that will provide an explanation of the data and facts that occur. There are 92 tourism service employees and representatives from several tourism objects. The data collected is then processed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis of determining strategic actions obtained the results of the IFA matrix score for the development of halal tourism on Samalona Island tourism objects of 3.73 and a total score for the EFA matrix for developing halal tourism on Samalona Island tourism objects of 2.48. For the IFA matrix, Lae Lae Island tourism object is 3.74 and the total score for the EFA matrix is 2.48. Furthermore, for the IFA matrix of lantebung attractions it is 2.67 and the total score for the EFA matrix is 3.25. And for the IFA matrix of blue beach tourism objects it is 3 and the total score for the EFA matrix is 3.2. the local community's income is very dependent on tourist visits to these locations, even on the island of Samalona the local community's income is 100% from tourist visits. and data on tourist visits has increased every year except in 2020 due to the impact of the covid pandemic which has hit all sectors including the tourism sector.
